Traditional practices supporting the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area

This video outlines how traditional knowledge and associated practices help to manage biodiversity and conservation of the Kanuku Mountains Protected Area, Guyana.

It is comprised of participatory videos made by community researchers from Katoka, Marurawaunawa and Parikwarinawa villages in the South-Central Rupununi, and compiled by researchers from the North Rupununi District Development Board.

The video is part of the Traditional Knowledge in Conservation project funded by the Darwin Initiative, UK.
