As part of a process of video-mediated dialogue between protected areas managers and Indigenous communities in Guyana, participatory videos made on traditional knowledge and current relationships between the parties, were screened to the management team of the Kanashen Amerindian Protected Area and the Village Council.
This video documents the response of the management team and village council to the community videos. It was made by researcher Sean Mendonca of the Environmental Protection Agency, and is part of the Traditional Knowledge in Conservation project funded by the Darwin Initiative, UK.
This video was then taken back to communities for feedback and to continue the dialogue.
